THE ART AND PRINCIPLES OF CHRISTIAN
WARFARE / MODULE 1 / SECTION 11
PRINCIPLES OF ENGAGEMENT:
PRINCIPLE #11
_____________________________________________________________________
PRINCIPLE
#11 - SUDDEN SHOCK
In Principle #9 we discussed "Security
and Intelligence." For SUDDEN SHOCK to be effective, the enemy's
force must be unaware of our plans. They must have NO information of
the following:
WHAT [we will do]
WHEN [we will do it]
WHERE [we will do it]
These are the only
three (3) components (or a combination of them) with which we may use
to our advantage the principle of sudden shock . . . and to the great
disadvantage of the enemy.
The success of sudden shock depends
greatly upon the following:
The enemy's lack of knowledge of your plans.
Your information concerning the enemy's schedule, location, and activities.
The Japanese attack on
Pearl Harbor which started World War II was aided by ignorance on the
part of the USA. So was Gideon's attack on the enemy aided by
ignorance on the part of the Midianites [Judges Chapter 7].
It
is imperative that you keep your plans, strategies, and purposes
secret. They must be confidential.
The decision to fight . . .
and the surprise attack . . . are caused by YOU. If your friends,
family, neighbors, or other people were subjugated by an enemy . . .
and if you had the POWER to rescue and deliver them . . . wouldn't
you do it? How much more in the spiritual realm, which has to do with
BOTH deliverance and blessing! We should be agents of rescue and
deliverance to people here on Planet Earth, and at the same time
bringing them eternal benefits.
In certain types of evangelism
we must keep our plans and strategies secret. Surely this does NOT
apply to events where we want large crowds to attend; that is, where
we will be inviting people. However, in many outreaches, especially
cross-cultural ones, we must take advantage of the element of SUDDEN
SHOCK.

"Which none of
the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not
have crucified the Lord of glory." [1 Corinthians 2:8]
When
the demonic forces used both Herod (the Gentiles) and the Jews to
crucify Jesus, they did not know that would bring about their demise
and the defeat of Satan. Jesus' death, and the BLOOD He shed on the
cross, paid for the sins of man, and healed the separation between
mankind and God: it defeated and broke the bondage of Satan so that
men could be free.
God has infinite strategies to help you as
a warrior; just spend time with the Holy Spirit and listen! Your
Commander has ordered the victory and given you the weapons you need.
Now . . . take the offensive, move in faith, possess the territory,
and drive out the
enemy.
